Annie Murphy

Anne Frances Murphy aka Annie Murphy was born on 19th December 1986. She's Canadian, but is based in Hollywood. The most well-known role she has played is Alexis Rose, a CBC TV sitcom, Schitt's creek. The show began in the year 2015 before ending in the year 2020. For her role, she got praise from critics and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award. Parents of her were teachers. The city she was born in is Ottawa in Canada. Elmwood School, Ottawa is where she began performing in theatrical productions. The next step was to apply for admission at Concordia University and pursue a stage performance diploma. To learn how to act, she enrolled in classes at Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory. At the age 22, she moved to Los Angeles where acting became her profession. Annie Murphy began her career in 2007 by appearing on the tv crime thriller film Lethal Obsession. She continued her acting career as she played minor, supplementary characters in several movies. The actress also appeared on Canadian television shows like Good God, which aired in 2012, and Rookie Blue in the same. She has proven her ability to take in many acting projects. Annie's acting career started in a tough spot for her. It was not easy for her to have a time proving her abilities and getting noticed. Moreover her standout performances proved that she was the most popular actress in the entertainment and film business. Additionally, she was a part of on many American TV Series such as The Beautiful Life TBL (2009), Blue Mountain State (2010), Beaut & The Beast 2012 and a host of others. Her career was impressive in acting by taking on many characters. Annie Murphy is a multiple awards-winning actress. She was honored with an award at the Screen Guild Award PrimeTime Emmy Award Screen Actors Guild Awards two Critics Choice Television Awards One Golden Globe Award and also received numerous nominations for her brilliant performances.
